ASTM A588 weathering steel
ASTM A588 is a high-strength low-alloy structural steel with atmospheric corrosion resistance up to six times that of carbon steels. It features a minimum yield point of 50 ksi (345 MPa) and requires an ASTM G101 Corrosion Resistance Index of 6.0. It is ideal for applications where painting is not desired, such as bridges and buildings.
