65Mn hot rolled spring steel round bar

65Mn is a high-carbon spring steel grade under the Chinese GB standard. Manganese improves hardenability, resulting in higher strength, hardness, elasticity, and hardenability compared to 65# steel. It features good machinability in the annealed state but has overheat sensitivity and temper brittleness. Water quenching may cause cracks. It is widely used for manufacturing small-section flat springs, round springs, clockwork, spring rings, valve springs, shock absorbers, clutch reeds, and brake springs.
